The Okavango Delta in Botswana is the swampy inland delta of the Okavango river, at the edges of the Kalahari desert. 

The Moremi Game Reserve, a National Park in Botswana, is on the eastern side of the delta. The delta was named as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa and is officially inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The Okavango Delta is both a permanent and seasonal home to a wide variety of wildlife, including all of the big five animals—the lion, leopard, African buffalo, African bush elephant and rhinoceros (both black rhinoceros and white rhinoceros).
